White: the line to your reel. Orange: the tag end, the part you move. Mirror flips the drawing for tying left-handed.
Steps
Tie a loose overhand knot 5 to 15 cm from the end of the line, and pass the tag end through the eye of the lure.
Bring the tag end back through the overhand knot.
Wrap the tag end round the standing line 3 times, working away from the lure.
Pass the tag end back through the overhand knot, from the other side.
Pass it through the loop you have just made between the turns and the overhand knot. Wet the knot, tighten it slowly by pulling the line, the tag and the lure, and trim.
Tips
- The loop lets the lure swing freely.
- Wet the knot before you pull it tight.
