Habitat
Tropical and subtropical coastal waters, bays, passes, and mangrove estuaries. Tolerates brackish and fresh water.
Behavior
The ultimate gamefish — spectacularly acrobatic, leaping repeatedly when hooked. Feeds on mullet, crabs, and shrimp.
