White: one line. Grey: the other line. Orange: the tag end being tied. Mirror flips the drawing for tying left-handed.
Steps
Double 15 to 20 cm of the end of the leader into a loop.
Push 15 to 20 cm of braid through the loop.
Wrap the braid round both legs of the loop 7 times, working away from the loop's end.
Wrap it back toward the loop's end 7 more times, over the first turns.
Pass the braid back out through the loop the same way it went in. Wet the knot, pull slowly on all four ends, then pull braid and leader hard apart. Trim both tag ends.
Tips
- Keep the turns side by side; if they cross, tie it again.
